Why Do We Make Games?

We're a small group of friends who grew up playing many great classic games. Making games has long been a dream for us, and over the years we've discussed many ideas and stories. In the last few years we've decided to take ideas and hopes and turn them into something we can share with others.

What Are Our Goals?

Ultimately, we'd like to make games for PC's and consoles. Starting with mobile devices was the logical start. Projects would start simple, then build up in complexity. The idea is to make games that challenge us in order to build more skills and knowledge so that we may progress our goal.

What's In The Pipeline?

Space Captain Howard II

Well the last year has been quite a hectic one! Work has progressed on the sequel to Space Captain Howard, but instead of a mobile focused game we are leaning more towards console and potentially PC. Tons of features have been added (4K graphics, bullet hell system, post processing etc) but the implementation of control pads and revisiting the interface proved to be a big piece of work. Two player cooperative works very nicely, and the damage mechanics have been overhauled to take advantage of it. The sheer amount of pixel art has consumed significant time, and with demanding jobs it has been a slow, difficult grind. There are more updates to come for the interface, primarily to give player's more variation in gameplay.

Below are two newer screenshots that show how far the game has come.

Monster Siege

This game was created with no planning or design specs, and was intended to just be a free expression of game development. This approach allowed the game to be developed faster from scratch, and it appeared to have potential to a point. However, the game required a redesign to give it sufficient strategic depth. It has undergone many changes and plays very differently than it's initial conception. It still requires a major design overhaul, however it is a game we really look forward to working on after Space Captain Howard 2 is all done!

And the siege game has also progressed quite a ways!
